The fashion industry has really been suffering as most industries are in this recession.Glamour magazine laid off seven staffers in the advertising depertament on 11/10/09. And in the wake of the sudden folding of Gourmet and Cookie(magazines), inside sources say the ladies at Lucky(magazine) (covering the sport of shopping, under the guidance of editor-in-chief Kim France) are particularly nervous about the next round of cuts.

Breaking News: Gourmet and Cookie Magazines Are Folding...

Oh my goodness, Conde Nast announced this morning that Gourmet and Cookie magazines will be shut down for financial reasons, according to the New York Times. They're both such gorgeous, smart, entertaining and life-affirming magazines, produced by incredibly talented people, and and all us devoted readers will be heartbroken to see them go.

September Vogue-Keira Knightley is the cover girl...

It's a weird pic,right?
Keira Knightley is the cover girl of the much anticipated September fall issue For Vogue.The September Fall Issue is the magazine to pick up.It's jam packed with runway looks,trends and lovely interview with Miss Knightley.The cover headline reads that Keira is a “fashion star, pirate queen, history’s sexiest Duchess.” Her new film The Duchess actually opens in the UK on September 5 and in limited release in the USA on September 19.

The 23-year-old British actress last appeared on the June 2007 cover, which was the second-lowest seller of that half of the year. It sold a mere 405,000 copies.

Other September cover girls include Penelope Cruz does Glamour, Jessica Simpson does Elle, Blake Lively does Cosmopolitan, and Vanessa Hudgens does Teen Vogue.

The new issue of NYLON magazine is out and it's a special treat for denim lovers.If you have seven or more pairs of jeans,you're a denim lover.Of course,there's more to denim than jeans.There's the denim vest,jacket,skirt,shorts,cuffs and so much more.
The issue is jam packed with DIY articles,funky editorials and the latest set of hipsters on the indie rock circuit.
I got my issue in the mail on Monday,I must say it's a page turner.
