Trend Suited for Winter by Babini Kuki

Our collections – unique fashion lines, where each piece of clothing is designed exclusively as a modern expression of a traditional art. Over 200 original designs, each with a genuine handcrafted quality.

‘Babini kuki’ translates into ‘Granny’s knitting needles’.
It symbolizes the legends and traditions of a nation with over 1300 years of history.

Hand knitting and crochet are ancient arts handed down through the generations. Women passed the skills on to their daughters and granddaughters in order to preserve tradition. Bulgarian women are gifted with richness of soul and sense of harmony and beauty. They put all their imagination and vision into creating intricate traditional national dress, implementing a wealth of colour.

Nowadays, it would be nearly impossible to find even one Bulgarian family where this traditional art - hand knitting - hasn’t been preserved.

Now some of this womens designer clothes reminds me of the Ponchos, originated in Mexico.
And Here's a daring sassy type of Poncho

Adriana Lima Unveiling the Swimsuit 2009 Catalog of Victoria's Secret

Victoria's Secret, well known for its fashion shows and catalogues, which feature top fashion models. Great designer clothing with the best super models to go with their shows. Victoria's Secret started in San Francisco, California, in 1977 by Stanford Graduate School of Business alumnus Roy Raymond, who felt embarrassed trying to purchase lingerie for his wife in a public and awkward department store environment. He opened the first store at Stanford Shopping Center, and quickly followed it with a mail order catalog and three other stores.

Glamorous Spring/Summer Fashion Trends 2009

Here are the trends that are making the noise in fashion styles this 2009.

Tribal / Ethnic Trend
womens designer clothes
As it did with bohemian inspired looks as one of the first 2009 fashion trends, fashion has gone global for Spring/Summer 2009, with designers drawing inspiration from every corner of the globe. A look which started with Yves Saint Laurent's legendary safari jump suits has been re-interpreted this season, and designers from Christopher Kane to Paul Smith have looked to Africa and the Orient for their muse.

One-Shoulder Fashion Trend
womens designer clothes
Need a sexy dress update for your wardrobe this Spring? Look no further than bearing a flash of cheeky shoulder with a beautiful one-shoulder creation. Shoulders are sexy. More mysterious than cleavage and more elegant than legs; shoulders remind us of the delicacy and vulnerability of the neck.

Fringed Fashion Flapper Trend

It was as if a single, defined element was plucked from 2008's flapper revival, elaborated upon and then modernised. That element was fringing; and if there's one thing every girl should be partying in during Spring/Summer 2009, it's that perfect fringed piece.

Jewel-encrusted clothing Trend
womens designer clothes
Precious stones, glass and crystals adorned many an embellished item on the Spring/Summer 2009 runways. Not limited to evening gowns, this elegant version of bling also found its way onto jackets, day-dresses and accessories.

Bondage / Fetish Clothing Trend
womens designer clothes
The line between the office shoe and the fetish heel has become increasingly blurred; while the popularity of the ubiquitous Herve Leger bandage dress has simultaneously become widespread, meaning the super-short and super-tight is more commonplace than ever. The taboo, in many ways, is not so taboo anymore. Fashion has pushed the envelope and perusing the Spring/Summer 2009 runways, it's not hard to spot the bondage and fetish inspirations behind many of the clothes; making this yet another of 2009's fashion trends.

Cutaway clothes Trend

Introducing the cutaway fashion trend where intricate missing elements of fabric work to show off glimpses of the female figure in a sexual and sensual fashion typical of women's Spring/Summer 2009 fashion.

Oversized Bows Trend

They were on the Fall/Winter 2009 runways if you looked hard enough; but it was with the Spring/Summer collections that bows really reached trend status for 2009.

Grecian Goddess Draping Trend
womens designer clothes
It's a logical flow-on from the one-shoulder fashion trend; a new breed of draping Grecian Goddess dresses. A notable runway trend for 2009, anything with a Grecian or Romanesque inspiration is a sure hit for the Spring/Summer 2009 season.

Fairy-tale Romance Trend
womens designer clothes
Flouncing ruffles, rosette clusters, and delicate capelets. Moving away from the sleek and sexy, some designers topped off their Spring/Summer 2009 runway shows with the ultimate in romantic gowns; making the fairy-tale dress somewhat of a 2009 fashion trend.

Thigh-high boots are "in" this 2009

Pants might be over as we know it. Thigh-high boots emerged as the hot shoe for fall, landing so far up the leg they doubled as leg warmers. Is this designers' collective attempt to save the world from the pantless ladies everywhere (Lady Gaga and Lindsay Lohan)? Designers even tacked on a few bells and whistles to their boots: Hussein Chalayan added garter belts, Prada made rubber waders stylish, Antonio Berardi lined his in fur, and Stella McCartney's faux-leather leggings were actually boots that pulled up to the crotch.

thigh-high boots

Thigh-length boots, known also as thigh-high boots or simply thigh boots, are boots that extend above the knees. Other synonyms include over-the-knee boots, and especially when cuffed, pirate boots. Lengths vary from reaching just over the knee to reaching almost to the crotch (referred to as crotch boots).

But are we ready to embrace the implications of this phenomenon? Pants as we know them are losing popularity. And with the surge of thigh-highs, rescuing them is even further from our reach.

Designer Clothes Christmas Online Shops

designer clothes

Besides H&M, Zara, AE and all of the disposable and trendy retailers, there are a lots of shop out there waiting for you to discover. This holiday, try something new, shopping malls will be crowded all around. Online shops are one of your option and they're just waiting with lots of never-ending products. Here's some online shops that made name with their great quality and discounted products.

Yoox.com

A provider of all things glamour and art. From clothing to photography books, Yoox has items on sale that are from past seasons. Think of it as a lesser-known BlueFly for extreme fashionistas. They carry common brands like Versace and D&G but also Comme des Garcons and DSQUARED at a fraction of the retail cost.

Nordstrom

This department store is one of the best when it comes to customer service. From the moment you enter their doors until the moment you come back for more (because you will, trust me) you're treated as if you are their #1 customer. That's because to Nordstrom, everyone is the #1 customer. Refund and exchange policies are great but what's great are their sale prices. Granted they are a designer department store and are in quite a different tier than Macy's or Kohl's however for the value of what you're getting, the prices are worth it. Their BP department for juniors is an especially fun place to shop (even for twenty-something year olds like yours truly).

Rachelleigh.com

Rachel Leigh, an up and coming jewelry line, carries pieces that are amazingly stylish without making customers break the bank. It's quite unbelievable how much of a cult following the line has developed with celebrities when it's not something impossible to get.

Individual retailers & shops

There's nothing like getting or giving a gift that you know no one else has. Head to the historic areas of your cities or states where there are tons of antique shops. Chances are there are tons of consignment shops too with vintage stuff like scarves, belts and sunglasses. Brooklyn's Park Slope has a store called "1 of a Find" (1ofafindnyc.com) and it's a gold mine for vintage pieces that can still be worn today. Besides the fact that anything you buy will be unique, it's also a way to live green even on the holidays.
