I don't know about you guys but I'm so relieved that winter is finally over. I hate cold and I absolutely love spring/summer fashion. So I decided to share with you some of the latest fashion trends for this season.
1. Neon colors. It's the biggest trend this summer. They are bright, fun and very expressive! You can wear them for day or night. I personally rarely wear bright colors, I prefer pastels. But if you are not afraid to wear bold colors then it's a perfect trend for you!
2. The second trend is floral prints. It is a very romantic and feminine fashion trend. I'm sure a lot of girls would be happy to wear floral skirts, shirts, and dresses. I already bought two shirts with floral prints. But to be honest, I don't like this look on me. It makes me look like a grandma. I don't like prints in general. We'll see...maybe I will end up liking this trend.
3. Stripes. I feel like stripes are popular every season. This is a timeless and classic trend that will always be "in". You can wear stripes with pretty much everything - with skirts, jeans, shorts, etc.
4. Jumpsuits are still popular this season. This is one of my favorite trends. It's chic and comfy. I have a problem finding a jumpsuit that fits me though, they are either too baggy or too long on me. The only drawback about jumpsuits is using a bathroom. You will have to remove it all. It's such a hassle.
5. Maxi dresses and maxi skirts. I absolutely love this trend, very feminine. I have seen a lot of girls sporting this look. Ladies, don't think that you have to be tall to wear maxi dresses/skirts. I'm 5,3 and I don't have a problem wearing a maxi dress.
6. High waisted pants and shorts. It was a big trend a few years ago and it made a comeback this season. I love 70's fashion, it's so sophisticated and classy.
7.Whites. It's my favorite trend, hands down. I love love love the white color. I think I have too many white clothes. But you can never go wrong with white. It looks very fresh and flattering on anyone. I find that the white color looks especially good on brunettes and creates a beautiful contrast with their dark skin tone and dark hair.
8. Lace is gorgeous. Who doesn't want to wear lace? It's so flirty, sexy and feminine. I feel like I use the word feminine too many times in this blog post. So I guess it's the best word to describe the spring/summer 2011 fashion trends.
Also, girls, please don't follow all fashion trends just because they are "in" or simply because someone looks good in them. Develop your own personal style, try to be original. Wear clothes that look good on you, compliment your body shape and match your personal style. Remember, fashion come and go but style is forever.
