There are so many products that have found their second life in cosmetology! Clay is not an exception! An average man will take clay as a building material or as stuff for china ware. Clay is a skin healer in cosmetic industry. It’s a sort of building material for the beauty creation.
Masks on clay basis are extremely wholesome for oily skin as they absorb excess grease piles up on its surface making it fresher and cleaner. It’s the wonderful measure for the open pores narrowing and pimples removing. These masks just dry off on your face during 5-15 minutes and then you should rinse them off with warm water that takes away the dead skin cells.
To achieve a better effect you should remove the make up and wet the skin before applying white and blue clays. Such masks are to be done regularly but no more often than once per week. Beside white clay you can use tale, carbonic magnesia, and starch as a basis of the drying mask.
White Clay Masks
- The easiest mask to make contains of the equal parts of the white clay and tale. Add boric or lemon (preferably) acids to the basis, and if you have acne then add sulfur.
- Mix up 3.5 oz white clay with 0.2 oz glycerine, 0.2 alcohol and 1 oz water. Apply the mixture onto the face with a wad of cotton wool. Rinse it off in 20 minutes.
- Mix 1 tea spoon tale and 1 tea spoon white clay, and then add 1 tbsp milk into it. Put the mask onto the face for 20 min and then take it away using a wad of cotton wool.
- Blend tale and clay in equal proportions. Then add 1-2 tbsp milk and apply the gruel onto the face skin for 20 minutes.
- Take 1 oz white clay, 0.7 oz tale, 0.03 oz alum and mix it up with water until you get a cream consistency and put it onto the face. Take the mask off in 20 min.
Mask for a problem skin
- Blend 3 tbsp white clay, 10-15 drops lemon juice and 1 oz alcohol and apply it onto the face. Rinse the mask off in 15 minutes.
Mask for a normal skin
- Mix up 3 tea spoons white clay, ? tea spoon starch, ? tea spoon cleaned tale or oat flour, and a pinch of alum powder. Stir it thoroughly and apply it onto the face for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse it off with cool water.
Masks for the oily skin
- Pour boiled cool water into the 2 tbsp white clay and stir it until you get creamy consistency. Then add 1 egg white, some drops of lemon juice and 1 tea spoon honey into the clay. Apply the mixture onto the face skin and rinse if off with boiled water after it dries.
- Grate ½ cucumber and mix it up with 2 tbsp white clay. Put the mask onto the face and leave it there until it dries off, then rinse it off with mineral water and apply nourishing cream.
- Blend 1 tbsp clay, 0.5 tbsp lemon juice, 0.5 tbsp mineral water, 1-2 drops of tea tree essential oil, 1 drop of mint essential oil and 1 drop of rosemary essential oil. Apply the mixture onto the face but don’t let it dry sprinkling it all the time with mineral water. Rinse it off in 20 minutes. This mask is extremely good as a skin healer.
Mask for dry skin
- Add 30-40 drop lemon juice and 1 tbsp white clay to 1 tea spoon liquid honey. You are free to add some cool water to get a white gruel that is to be put onto the face and neck skin. Rinse it off in 25-30 minutes with cool water and then rub your skin with a piece of lemon. The mask is completed with several cold compresses. Try this one 1-2 times per week.
The skin becomes soft and smooth just like the babies have. Chose the most appropriate recipe for your skin type and clay masks will be your favorite secret of beauty.
